LEARN PHOTOGRAPHY IN PROVINS
Leave Paris for a day and go to Provins
Provins is a spectacular, wonderfully photogenic medieval walled town, just one and a half hours from Paris! The ancient seat of the Counts of Champagne and now a UNESCO world heritage site that was the centre of many trade fairs during the Middle Ages. Very few foreign visitors ever go there and it is one of the best kept secrets!
It incarnates for me the atmosphere of France with its ancient town up high, surrounded by high walls and turrets where we will spend most of our time and the lower part, which is the main commercial district.
THE TOUR
After assessing your level of photography and discussing your particular needs we will start walking around the town. Discover and capture with your camera the ramparts with its thick walls and turrets, the picturesque lanes surrounding it, the narrow winding streets, squares and churches and Provin’s superb medieval houses, monuments and architecture. We can climb along the ramparts and discover the dramatic ancient tower, the ‘Tour Cesar’ with its many superb views of the town and the surrounding countryside.
The setting for this photography class is a unique experience. This is a full day course with an option to spend the night in Provins and thus profit from the late afternoon sun and dusk. Hotel, or B&B is optional but I will be happy to arrange it for you at the best rate.
